Vonage, my saviour from the years of the Consolidated Communications monopoly, that complete rip off they like to call telephone service. Consolidated Communications ruled phone access with a iron fist likable to Joseph Stalin in this area for as long as I can remember, well no more my friends. Now those in need of using a phone have a couple of options including VOIP, either through places like Vonage, or through places like Mediacom. Now there have been times that the reception has been a little off and needs some tweaking or if my power's out I'm screwed but I can deal with all these little quirks when I only have to pay 27 bucks a month to talk to anyone I want for as long as I want. Plus I get to tell the Consolidated Communications folks where they can put their phone service. |
