I bought a digital camera a few months ago and I have to say I'm pretty freakin happy with it.  It's only 5 megapixels but it takes amazing photos and I get compliments on the photos all the time.  I bought this particular camera because of the 10x zoom lens since I need to get pretty close to subject / objects and I couldn't afford the Canon Digital Rebel.  It takes great photos and has a decent recovery period between photos.  It has a nice little video feature on it for short video clips, anything longer requires massive finger strength.  The one drawback I have noticed is one most users won't care about, it's the macrophoto ability of the camera which definitely has its limits.  By macro I just mean getting really close to small objects like bugs or something.  It just doesn't want to focus and the lighting is all off.  Maybe there's a camera genius out there who knows how to adjust the settings but I'm not one of them so I'm screwed in that department for the time being.  Taking photos at night or of fireworks involves a tripod, because I just can't hold the camera still enough to get a good shot.  Overall a great camera for the money and lots of options for landscape, portrait, sport, auto, and specialty settings.
