Harvest Apple Crisp
8 cups sliced and peeled apples (about 8 apples)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup margarine or butter
1 package yellow or golden pound cake mix
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place in the bottom of an ungreased 13 X 9 X 2 in pan. Combine margarine into dry cake mix until it crubmles. Stir in nuts and sprinkle over apples. Bake 50-60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm and top with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes about 12-15 servings.
